A good news has come in these days for European Corridor Lisbona – Kiev. There is the bipartisan will to apply strict norms for the safety of Chiomonte’s yard, the Italian workplace of New Line Torino Lione, a tract of the Lisbona Kiev Corridor. A Command of National Interest will be established in the Piedmontese site. The realization of this tract is very important because NTLT is situated in the central part of the Lisbona – Kiev Line. European Corridor will be used not only for the transport of persons and goods but also for energy and telecommunication systems. After the fall of Berlin Wall European Union wanted to develop communication lines between Eastern and Western Europe.
In fact three secondary tract of corridor Lisbona Kiev will be realized in Oriental Europe, the branch A: Uzhhorod – Košice – Žilina – Bratislava, the branch B: Maribor – Zagreb – Rijeka, and the branch C: Budapest – Osijek – Sarajevo – Ploče. Italy, France, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg and Netherlands, are founder members of European Community. The Italian citizens have to be grateful to EU because it has guaranteed more than 50 years of peace. The last persons that lived in wartime are our grandparents. The populations of European Union should remember that a bloody war broke out at the beginnings of the 1990s in Balkans, on the borders of Cee. The war has broken out during these months in North Africa and there are conflict situations, not only war but also not respect of human right, in various Countries of the world. The peace in Europe is a conquest of European Community. Continental Corridors are important infrastructures for the prosperity of Europe and a new step in the path of European integration.
